There are four possible incisions; the surgeon decides which one is best according to each case:
- I* Intraoral (inside the mouth, between the upper gums and the cheeks).
- Palpebral (on the lower eyelid right below the eyelashes, like in eyelid surgeries)
- Transconjunctival (inside the lower eyelids)
- Preauricular (near the ear). This incision is made in face lift surgery, so when these two procedures are performed together only one incision is necessary.
- It is very likely that, before placing the implant in its final position, the surgeon will insert and remove it more than once so as to adapt the shape and size to the special needs of your face.
- Hospitalization
- There is no need to be hospitalized; it is done on an outpatient basis.
